Sales Strategy in Sports and Entertainment Track
Why Major in Marketing with an S3E Track?
The Sales Strategy in Sports and Entertainment program provides the opportunity to intern and begin careers in analytics or sales leadership at the highest level of professional and collegiate sports, esports, music and entertainment, corporations or agencies.
The coursework in business analytics and professional selling for sports and entertainment are rooted in values-based leadership principles that will guide you in making a meaningful difference in the workplace. Program Admission
If you choose to major in Marketing and select an emphasis in Sales Strategy in Sports and Entertainment, please declare this by completing this application form. Completing the form gives you priority seating in S3E classes. The form may be completed prior to entering Baylor.
Admission Criteria
- Completion of the application form prior to March 1 preceding admission to the Hankamer Business School. The earlier the better.
- Admission into the Hankamer School of Business
- Membership and participation in the S3E Club
- Grade point average

S3E Course Plan
The S3E course plan is taken as part of the Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
BBA Core
Forty-eight hours from the BBA Core form the basis of business knowledge for S3E majors. The core forms the foundation for all business majors at Baylor.
Program Track
As an S3E Marketing major, you will be prepared to pursue sales or analytics roles in a sports marketing field.
MKT 3310: ProSales 1 (Fall only with Lane Wakefield)
MKT 3333: Sports and Entertainment Marketing Analytics (Fall only with Thomas Hall)
MKT 4341: Sports and Entertainment Marketing & Sales (Spring only with Lane Wakefield)
MKT 4396: Sports Marketing Internship - optional (must be approved in advance by Lane Wakefield)
Graduate Placement

Armed with a degree in business from Baylor University and two years of professional training in sales and marketing, S3E graduates have outstanding sales and marketing careers in a variety of fields.

Scholarships
The Marketing Department annually awards scholarships ranging from $750-$2500 for outstanding S3E Marketing majors with financial needs. Must be junior or senior standing.
